New Delhi: Alstom T&D India, an arm of French firm Alstom, Monday said it has won a Rs 65-crore contract for supplying power transmission equipment to state-run PowerGrid Corporation.
"Alstom T&D India has been awarded a Rs 65-crore contract from state-run PowerGrid Corp for supplying power transmission equipment," a company release said.
"We are privileged to work together with PowerGrid Corp to develop transmission networks in India," Alston T&D India Managing Director Rathin Basu said.
This contract by PowerGrid is to procure circuit breakers (equipment used in power transmission) for various sub-stations, including Jabalpur, Satna, Gwalior.
The company has equipment manufacturing facility at Padappai in Tamil Nadu.
