Sharon Stone has confessed having lip injections was a bad idea.

New York: "Basic Instinct" star Sharon Stone has confessed having lip injections to boost her self-esteem was a bad idea because they made her look "like a trout".

The 52-year-old actress has revealed she had her lips boosted with injections in a bid to grow her self-esteem following her divorce from Phil Bronstein six years ago but was horrified by the results, reports a news website. Explaining her thought processes at the time, she said: "Nobody loved me. My life would be better if I had better lips". Recalling her response afterwards, she said: "What the hell? I looked like a trout". The actress also admitted she doesn`t think her age will make her change her sense of style. "You know, I`m still wearing a bikini. That`s my bathing suit. I`ll be wearing leather pants when I`m 70 because that`s my style," she said. Stone, however, admitted she still suffers from feelings of self-doubt but knows they are normal. IANS
