New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is likely to be the next face of the 'Incredible India' campaign, replacing Aamir Khan.
A Hindustan Times report quoting government sources said the announcement may come in a day or two.
There were reports earlier that due to senior Bachchan's name appearing in Panama Papers leak, he may not be considered as the brand ambassador of Incredible India campaign.
“I wish to state that I have not been formally approached for this position (Brand Ambassador for 'Incredible India'). The speculation of the media regarding its discontinuance is, therefore, not relevant as far as I am concerned, "Bachchan had said.
The Bollywood star's name was considered to replace Aamir Khan who was the first brand ambassadore of the tourism ministry's campaign.
Amir Khan is reportedly relieved from the role due to his comments on the atmosphere of intolerance in the country.
The report also added that Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar may also be a part of the Incredible India campaign.
