New Delhi: Liquor baron and promoter of Kingfisher Airlines, Vijay Mallya, hopes that the new Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal does not end up over promising and under deliver in their enthusiasm.
A day after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) formed the government in the national capital under the leadership of its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, on December 28, the businessman expressed concerns that governance was a tough job.
"Hope Kejriwal and Company don't end up over promising and under delivering in their enthusiasm. Governance is very difficult," (sic), he tweeted.
The AAP under Arvind Kejriwal was the biggest surprise and winner in the recently held Delhi State Assembly elections winning 28 seats out of 70. More drinking water, cheaper electricity bill and safety of women were some of the major promises and factors behind the party's victory.
As Arvind Kejriwal was sworned in as the seventh Chief Minister of Delhi at the Ram Leela ground on December 28, Vijay Mallya hailed it as a defining moment of Indian democracy and victory of the people.
"Defining moment in Indian democracy as Kejriwal takes oath as Chief Minister of Delhi.True power of the people manifests itself," (sic) Mallya tweeted.
