Lindsay Lohan`s family plans intervention

Lindsay Lohan`s parents are planning to stage an intervention in her life as they fear their daughter`s behaviour is spiralling out of control.

Los Angeles: Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan`s parents are planning to stage an intervention in her life as they fear their daughter`s behaviour is spiralling out of control.Lindsay`s father Michael Lohan, who claims she is addicted to prescription medication, revealed he and her mother Dina have discussed forcing their daughter to get professional help, reported Radar online.
"I had a conversation with her, her mother and everyone. Over the next couple of weeks I`m going to be doing things in a pretty public way," said Michael suggesting that he plans to take control of Lindsay`s life in a similar fashion to Britney Spears`s father Jamie Spears who has become her legal guardian. He said that he has been forced to speak out publicly about his 23-year-old daughter`s substance problem as it is the only way to make her pay attention to him. "When Lindsay doesn`t adhere or listen to what I say about serious situations, I feel I have to speak publicly to put pressure on her. If she doesn`t take my advice and do what I say the more pressure I put on her, the more likely she is to eventually do the right thing," he said. Meanwhile, close friends of the `Mean Girls` star who is having a much publicised relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson are worried that Lindsay is close to having mental breakdown. "Lindsay is so close to going to rehab, but what she really needs is something way more than most rehabs can offer. This is way beyond just drugs and alcohol," the source said about the actress who has completed three previous stints in rehab. Bureau Report
