Banks shortlisted for Bharti Infratel IPO: Report

New Delhi: Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has shortlisted banks to manage a share flotation for its telecoms masts unit to raise more than USD 750 million, a news wire has reported.

As per the wire report, the banks include Standard Chartered and JPMorgan.

Airtel has also shortlisted Bank of America Merrill Lynch, HSBC, UBS and Kotak Mahindra for the initial public share offer (IPO), the wire further said.

The prospectus for the IPO is expected to be filed with the SEBI next month.

Bharti Airtel owns 86 percent of the Infratel unit, with the remainder held by investors including Temasek Holdings, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, Goldman Sachs, Macquarie Group, Citigroup, Investment Corporation of Dubai and AIF Capital.
