Los Angeles: Teen star Miley Cyrus has finally decided to justify her sudden act of quitting Twitter through a rap video, saying that she wants to keep her life "private".
The 16-year-old Disney star had created a buzz in showbiz after abruptly deleting her Twitter account last Wednesday, arousing a number of questions in her fans` minds.
But the `Hannah Montana` star has stated all her reasons in a more than one minute video on why she is quitting the popular social networking site, reported Aceshowbiz.
"Yeah, the rumors are true, I deleted my Twitter. I had to say goodbye and this little rap is to tell my fans why," Cyrus raps in the video. Accompanied by four female backing dancers, Miley continues rapping, "I want my private life private. I`m living for me."
Just before deleting her account, Cyrus indicated in one of her last tweets that she shut down her account upon being requested by her rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. "FYI Liam doesn`t have a twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason," she wrote.
Now, she clarifies in her song, "It wasn`t because my friend told me to. I stopped living for moments and started living for people."
Fans have organised an online campaign dubbed "mileycomeback", which is aimed to get Miley re-activating her Twitter, has become one of the most trending topics on the site.
Miley`s father Billy Ray Cyrus has also urged her to return to Twitter, writing on his own account "Miley. You are light in a world of darkness. You were born `Destiny Hope Cyrus` for a reason. You can`t leave everyone now. We r countin on u (sic)."
