Kim Kardashian to launch singing career

Los Angeles: Kim Kardashian is following in the steps of her `frenemy` Paris Hilton.

The socialite is expanding her career, from a reality TV star to a singer. And the 30-year-old has already started recording her first album, reported Ace Showbiz online. The `Keeping Up with the Kardashians` star was spotted leaving a midtown Manhattan studio last week and a source in the studio said that she has recorded some tracks. To make her album a big one, Kardashian has reportedly tapped acclaimed music maker The-Dream for the effort. The-Dream is one of the masterminds behind Rihanna`s worldwide hit `Umbrella` and Beyonce Knowles` chartbuster `Single Ladies`. The 30-year-old star who shot to fame after a sex tape featuring her released in 2005, has since made a fortune out of reality shows and endorsement deals. PTI
