Thane: State-owned City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) has decided to make a foray into other states to take up development projects there, its chairman Pramod Hindurao has said.
Hindurao, while participating in a meet-the-press at the Kalyan Press Club yesterday, said the organisation is slated to undertake projects in Jaipur in Rajasthan soon.
CIDCO is also planning to take up projects like townships and industrial centres in Kolhapur, Solapur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Nashik districts and Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Badlapur and Sahapur towns in the state.
According to him, the CICDO has so far constructed 1,23,000 dwellings since its inception in 1971 and has undertaken construction of additional 7.500 dwellings now.
