Animated `Lava-Kusa` heads for big screen

Mumbai: Now the adventures of the twin sons of Lord Ram - Lava and Kusa - will hit the big screens in three languages just a week before Dussehra.
Titled "Lava-Kusa: The Warrior Twins", the film depicting their adventures and their formative years with their mother Sita and Valmiki, will hit the screens Oct 8. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Suniel Wadhwa`s 52 Weeks Entertainment is releasing RVML Animation`s Hindi 2D animation film. PEN Entertainment is presenting it. "At a time when our children are bombarded with all things Western it is difficult to get them acquainted with Indian mythology. We have to provide them content that is meaningful and also exciting," Rayudu V. Sashank Creative Director and Producer of "Lava Kusa" said in a statement. "The film does just that. The quality of entertainment and expertise in animation is truly world-class. `Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins` will add an extra zing to the festive season this year, the first offering from Pen`s stable of animation films. Children and families are sure to enjoy the film." added Dhaval Gada of PEN. K.J. Yesudas, Vijay Yesudas, Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam have sung songs for the movie. IANS
