Mumbai: Siddharth Mallya finally broke his silence about his ladylove Deepika Padukone. The son of liquor baron Vijay Mallya cleared the air on rumours about him and the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ star. According to grapevine, Siddharth Mallya has recently bought the actress a flat in Mumbai worth Rs 16crore! In an interview to a daily, Siddharth said, “Let me buy one for myself first. Please do let me know if you get it on the same price for my personnel.” Sid, as he is popularly known in the fashion circuit, also spoke about his alleged affair with the film star. “Does being escorted by a brand ambassador of RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) mean dating?” he counter questions. So that’s a ‘no’. But the duo have been seen at lot of events together where Deepika or Siddharth do not really have to promote RCB. Clearly, Mr mallya cannot explain that. Rumours also have it that Sid is planning to start his own production company, is that true? “Yes, I have heard the same,” he says, adding elusively, “The foundation (of that) will be on existence.” Which means that there is a possibility in the future, right? Siddharth steers clear of such speculation. But he does mention about the kind of films he would like to produce, whenever he does. “I would love to see Aamir Khan and Salman Khan sharing screen together, and repeat Andaz Apna Apna’s magic.” Sid, also adds that he has no plans of starring in any film. “Do I need that kind of fame? I face enough cameras without makeup, and frankly I hate being the centre of attraction,” he says. As of now he is busy playing the twin role of the director of his IPL team and general manager of marketing at his father’s United Breweries Group. Apart from Deepika, what else is on Siddharth Mallya’s mind these days? He says, its fitness. “I was always fit, as I am a sportsperson. I play hockey and tennis. It’s all that running I did at Mahalaxmi race course (in Mumbai) that helped me get fit.”
