New Delhi: Film and television actor Vindu Dara Singh, who is basking in the glory of winning the third season of reality show `Bigg Boss`, wants to go back to playing the villain on the silver screen. The 45-year-old actor, who has played the bad guy in a number of films like `Mujhse Shaadi Karogi` and `Kambakkht Ishq`, wishes that more intense negative roles are offered to him.
"I want to play a complete Bollywood villain now. I have been doing negative roles in TV serials and films earlier, and I want to get back to that," Vindu told reporters.
Ever since his `Bigg...` win last December, the actor is more busy than ever and is being flooded with offers.
"After the show I am getting an offer each day, but I cannot do everything. I have three films in hand right now, one in Punjabi," said Vindu.
The Punjabi film is being made by Guddu Dhanoa, while the two Hindi ones will be helmed by Anees Bazmee and Sajid Nadiadwala.
The actor is also returning to the small screen with another reality show `Chak Dhoom Dhoom` on Colors. Vindu will be judging children in this dance contest.
"My friends had started missing me on TV after Bigg Boss ended, so I am back again. I think the channel considers me a man who speaks the truth, but with humility, so they
wanted me on the show," said Vindu.
The actor will be accompanied by Bollywood choreographers Saroj Khan and Ahmed Khan on the judges panel, while his former `Bigg Boss` co-contestant Pravesh Rana will
be hosting the show.
Reality shows are famous for tiffs between judges which rises from difference of opinion, but Vindu assures that there will be no such thing on this one.
"I am here to represent the common man`s opinion. Moreover, there is no difference between my and Saroj Khan`s judgement, it is 90 per cent same. Both of us are very cool
and calm in dealing with children," he said. Vindu is the son of veteran Indian actor and wrestler Dara Singh, an identity which he has not been able to shrug off. But the actor is not complaining and considers it a blessing.
"I do not want to get out of the umbrella of my father`s name. I have even added his name to mine as I consider it an honour to be his son," said Vindu.
The actor believes that reality shows do help in establishing a person`s identity and in gaining instant fame.
"People do come to reality shows for instant fame. Some get it and some don`t. I went into the house of Bigg Boss so that more people come to know of me, and I have achieved that. Poonam Dhillon had come in to make her children`s generation know that she has been a famous actress of her times," said Vindu.
