Lara Bingle wants respect from ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Melbourne: Lara Bingle, whose reputation of ‘the girl next door’ has taken a battering in recent years, hopes ‘Dancing with the Stars’ will boost her standing with the Australian public.

The underwear model made headlines for her relationships with new Australian Test cricket captain Michael Clarke and disgraced AFL footballer Brendan Fevola. "I know not everyone is going to like me - there`s been lots of ups and downs. But I`m just going to have fun," the Herald Sun quoted Bingle as saying. "People don`t know me. It (Dancing) is an opportunity to be myself." The 23-year-old is one of 11 stars in the new series of the Channel 7 dance show. Others to sign on include socialite Brynne Edelsten, My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Feildel and golf legend Jan Stephenson. ANI
