Mumbai: Well, Bollywood has witnessed a lot many celebrity look-alikes in the past, but none of them has ever got a chance to share screen space with the original star. However, Akshay Kumar’s look-alike, Stockholm-based Usman, resembles the actor so much that he’s been roped in to essay the role of the younger Akshay in his upcoming flick ‘Patiala House’.
Reports reveal that the hunt for an Akshay look-alike was on for quite long now to play the younger version of the actor in ‘Patiala House’. And now, the 20-year-old Usman, who’s apparently come up as the most authentic celeb look-alike ever, has bagged the chance to play the role of junior Akki in the much-awaited film.
Confirming the news, Nikhil Advani, the director of ‘Patiala House’, said to a news daily, "I don`t know where you heard this but it`s true."
Talking about Usman, who is photographer Avinash Gowariker`s (Ashutosh`s brother) nephew, Nikhil said, "We just found the boy`s picture in Avinash`s family album. I was stunned by the resemblance. And so was Akshay."
"And to our delight he can also act. When people see ‘Patiala House’ they`ll wonder if Akshay himself has gotten younger with prosthetics, etc to play the character in the flashbacks," added Nikhil.
