Washington: Good times have finally arrived in troubled star Amy Winehouse’s life, for the singer has finally being allowed into the US, it has emerged. The ``Rehab`` singer had been banned from entering the country two years ago after being arrested for possession of cannabis and was also denied a work visa months later after being accused of assaulting a fan.
However, the authorities have relented on their previous decisions. "Amy loves the idea of jetting off to America. She really wants to go to the States and play some shows,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying. "She knows she has a huge fan base there and would love to boost her profile further and give something back to all the people who buy her records," the source added. Winehouse’s spokesperson said, "There is nothing to stop her getting a visa to travel to America. “`Back to Black` was the second biggest-selling album in the world last year and she never had the chance to tour there, so it`s on the cards," the spokesperson added.
