New Delhi: Advisory firm Ernst & Young Monday said Mark Weinberger has been appointed as the new Global Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Besides, the company has also changed its global brand name to EY, unveiled a new logo and adopted a new tagline.
"Mark Weinberger has become Global Chairman and CEO. The professional services organisation also announced the adoption of EY as its global brand name, unveiled a new logo," it said in a statement.
Weinberger said that from July 1 the company will be called EY.
Mark, 51, has previously served as the Global and Americas Head of Tax and on the Global and Americas Executive, the statement said.
"It is a privilege to lead this...We have forged our reputation based on quality, trust and integrity. We are building on our history and our reputation to create our future," he said.
On EY's India plans, he said that the country has consistently been a key market for the company and it sees enormous growth potential with an increasing number of organisations requiring its services.
"We already have talent hubs here that serve the world. Of the 167,000 people that we have around the world, we have 15,000 people in India alone," he added.
The Country Managing Partner for EY in India Rajiv Memani said that the launch of the new brand and adoption of new tagline will be central to its brand.
"As the leading professional services organisation in India, we will continue to be strongly focused on delivering exceptional client service. The launch of our new brand and ‘Building a Better Working World’ as our purpose further inspires and motivates our team to work towards a wider objective," Memani said.
