British director Guy Ritchie is planning to open a pub in New York on the advice of his American actor friends who are regular at his London bar, the Punch Bowl.

London: British director Guy Ritchie is planning to open a pub in New York on the advice of his American actor friends who are regular at his London bar, the Punch Bowl.Ritchie`s London drinking haunt the Punch Bowl has become a popular destination for actors and pop stars and he is confident he could turn it into a global chain with the first new venue being opened in New York, reported contactmusic.com
"Guy spends a lot of time there with American actors when they`re in London for premieres or for shoots. They all reckon he could branch out and make the pub a global brand. Guy sees the potential," said a source.
The director received the pub as part of his divorce settlement from ex-wife Madonna in 2008.
