London: Singer Jessica Simpson`s fiance Eric Johnson wants her to lose weight and has put her on diet.
Simpson is rapidly approaching the 150-pound mark because of her love for Mexican food, margaritas and "anything fried", reports a website.
"And now it looks like her weight gain is ripping them apart! Eric is in tip-top shape and feels like Jessica is letting herself go," said an insider.
"They`ve recently had some brutal fights, and finally Eric basically told Jess if she didn`t lose weight soon, he was calling the whole thing off. Eric is a vegan. He exercises daily and counts every calorie. When they first began dating, Jessica happily ate the vegan food for the sake of love.
"But after a few months, she returned to her favourite down-home staples - fried chicken, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Jess waits until Eric leaves the house or falls asleep - and then she binge eats," the insider added.
