One Direction play sound of screaming girls during rehearsals

Boy band One Direction reportedly play records of screaming girls during their practise sessions to get the feel of a concert.

London: Boy band One Direction reportedly play records of screaming girls during their practise sessions to get the feel of a concert.
The band has been using the sounds to help them perform better in a crowd, reported Daily Mirror. "It helps them manage their vocals. There`s little point rehearsing in an empty arena because it`s completely different when the venue is filled with people making noise. Adding screaming sounds is the only way to make the sound check realistic," a source said. Band member Louis Tomlinson, 21, had earlier said he has become partially deaf in his right ear because of all the screaming. "It`s tinnitus, something like that. Our fans are always very loud, especially Scousers," he had said. "Screams have started affecting the boys on stage. They are only young and still developing, so management insist they wear high-tech earpieces and filters," One Direction spokesperson said. One Direction will perform five gigs at London`s O2 this week before heading to Europe, America, Australia and Asia on their `Take Me Home world tour`. PTI
