Oprah Winfrey honoured with ‘Oprah Winfrey Way’

City Mayor of Chicago has honoured Oprah Winfrey with a parting gift as she concluded filming of her show.

Washington: Outgoing city Mayor of Chicago Richard Daley has honoured Oprah Winfrey with a parting gift as she concluded filming of her ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’, which had been shot in the city itself.

She has been credited with her own Chicago, Illinois street as the block in front of her Harpo Studios home has been renamed ‘Oprah Winfrey Way’. "Your presence in Chicago has been a gift... (You are) a great ambassador for our city," a website quoted Daley as sating during the ceremony. "I just want to say thank you to the mayor and also to the city of Chicago for embracing me and allowing me to take a stand and make a stand here in this city," a thrilled Winfrey added. ANI
