Mumbai: Amrita Rao, who will be back on the big screen after a gap of two years with Rajshri Productions` `Love You Mr Kalakaar`, says that banners play an important part in deciding a film`s fate.
"Today, for a film to be a hit, besides the script, banner is the most important factor. Promotions have become essential today," Amrita told reporters in an interview.
For Amrita, films by reputed banners have worked, such as Shah Rukh Khan-produced `Main Hoon Na`, Shyam Benegal`s `Welcome to Sajjanpur`, Sooraj Barjatya`s `Vivah` and the Taurani`s `Ishq Vishk`.
About the upcoming film, Amrita said, "It is a romantic-comedy, a sensitive love story, drama and romance. This is my first rom-com. This is something new for me. It is a situational comedy not slapstick."
On her role, the 29-year-old actress said, "I play a management student who is still studying finding her own space in the corporate world. She falls in love with an artist. Different backgrounds and there is a clash of two professions."
`Love You Mr Kalakaar`, a Barjatya production, is helmed by debutant director Manasvi and stars Amrita and Tusshar Kapoor. The film will be released on May 13.
Amrita, earlier known for her girl-next-door image, had shed inhibitions in her last flick, `Short Kut: The Con`, and was seen wearing `skimpy` clothes.
"I do not see myself exposing and revealing. If there is a requirement for an item song or a special appearance song I might do it...if it is in the capacity of the film, if it is comfortable and suits me," Amrita said.
