Mumbai: Aamir Khan proves yet again that he is more adept and seasoned than most other in the industry when it comes to tackling sticky issues. Recently the actor turned producer received flak from the Hindustan Kanojia Organization who filed a PIL claiming the title of his film ‘Dhobi Ghat’ was hurting the sentiments of a particular group and action should be taken against Aamir. However, much to plaintiff’s surprise, the court gave its verdict in Aamir’s favour. When asked about it Aamir informed that he is happy with the court`s decision. Speaking to a daily, he said, “There was a case on us for using the word `Dhobi` in the title. But we did not go to the court. In fact after going through the issue, the court did not find any substance and rejected the plea. Moreover it also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner. It`s good that the court has become strict in such cases.” Aamir further added that films are soft targets when it comes to such things. He said, “I believe in all the stories there are different characters and different professions. But I think films are the soft targets. That should not happen. It happened with Shah Rukh`s film (Billu) too but in our case the court dealt with the plea more strictly.” Shah Rukh did face a lot of flak during the release of his home production ‘Billu Barber’. The salon and beauty parlour associations raised objections finding the word `barber` derogatory, thereby forcing SRK to remove the word ‘Barber’ and go ahead with just ‘Billu’. Well, it appears now that when it come to home productions, Aamir seems smarter than SRK!
