New Delhi: If you are one of those unemployed looking for a job or employed yet looking for a new job, brace up your knowledge and get your resume ready – for India Inc is on a hiring spree.

Latest monthly survey report shows that hiring activity in India grew by a huge 22 percent in June and is likely to pick up pace in the coming months.

According to report, the Naukri Job Speak Index for June 2016 stood at 2,129, a 22 percent increased in hiring activity compared to corresponding period last year.

The hiring activity was predominantly led by sectors such as Telecom, IT-Software, ITeS and Healthcare, as per the report.

"The job market continues to sustain the momentum gained over the past few months and is moving further north with an impressive 22 percent year-on-year growth in June 2016," V Suresh, Chief Sales Officer, Naukri.Com said.

Though this growth is predominantly driven by sectors like IT, Telecom and Healthcare, we can expect the other sectors to pick up in the next few months or so. Looks like good times ahead for jobseekers, Suresh added.

As per the report, IT - hardware and telecom, and finance professionals witnessed an increase of 13 percent and 11 percent respectively, while demand for professionals in marketing & advertising recorded remarkable growth of 34 percent.

City-wise, all metro cities witnessed growth in jobs this year in June compared to the same time period last year.

Among the metros, Delhi/NCR reported a year-on-year growth of 46 percent in June, followed by Chennai and Hyderabad at 43 percent and 36 percent respectively.

Mumbai and Bengaluru recorded an increase of 24 percent and 18 percent respectively, whereas Pune witnessed an increase of 13 percent in June this year.
