Google, Facebook top executives to lead industry body IAMAI
Google India's Managing Director Rajan Anandan has been appointed Chairman of the industry body Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).
New Delhi: Google India's Managing Director Rajan Anandan has been appointed Chairman of the industry body Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).
Anandan replaces InfoEdge's MD and Chief Executive Officer Hitesh Oberoi.
"IAMAI, which has been working persistently towards the growth of the medium, is also growing. We plan to engage and interact more closely with the government to ensure that the online industry registers a balanced growth in the years to come and the Internet user base widens," Anandan said in a statement.
Also the industry body IAMAI has named Facebook's head of office in India and Director of Online Operations Kirthiga Reddy as the Vice-Chairman.
Reddy will join in place of travel portal Yatra's Co-Founder and CEO Dhruv Shringi.
IAMAI represents the entire gamut of digital businesses in India and claims to be only professional industry body representing the online and mobile value added services industry in the country.
