Love Hewitt to play rape victim on TV

London: Hollywood beauty Jennifer Love Hewitt is ditching her glamorous on-screen persona to play the role of a rape victim on a TV show.

The `Ghost Whisperer` star was photographed on the set of the hit series `Law and Order: Special Victims Unit`, looking battered and bruised with fake blood splayed over her. With her face scrubbed clean of make-up, clothes ripped and distressed, Hewitt looked a far cry from her usual glamorous roles, reported a news website. The 31-year-old is appearing as a guest star on the show and is playing a woman named Vicki who has been raped multiple times and is afraid to leave her house. The actress` last project was the TV movie `The Client List` where she played a housewife-turned-call girl. The `I Know What You Did Last Summer` actress had filmed love scenes with 26 different men over a period of two days for her role as a prostitute. PTI
