London: Lindsay Lohan`s father Michael has reached out to stars including Robert Downey Jr and Mark Wahlberg asking them to help his troubled daughter.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress is currently behind bars at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, where she is serving part of a 90-day jail sentence for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest. Lohan is expected to be released next week and she will go straight to court-ordered rehab. And the her father fears prison will have a negative effect on his daughter, who he claims is suffering from a prescription drug addiction. Thus, he is asking both Downey Jr and Wahlberg, who have both spent time behind bars, to help. "My people are reaching out to Robert Downey, Jr. and to Mark Wahlberg. I know both of them, and Mark is a tremendous human being. Hopefully, they`ll see her before she gets out and she`ll get in this rehab and get off these prescription meds, and she`ll get her life back,” the Daily Star quoted Tennessee radio station 107.5 The River, as saying. The Iron Man star was jailed on numerous occasions as he battled a raging drug habit between 1996 and 2001. He also spent time in court-ordered rehab before finally kicking his addictions and reviving his career, while Wahlberg battled drug addiction as a teenager and spent 45 days in prison after he was convicted of assault.
