John Travolta turns down astronaut training offer

London: Plane-fanatic John Travolta doesn’t have enough time for training to become an astronaut.The actor even turned down Sir Richard Branson`s offer to take a seat on his Virgin Galactic space ship, scheduled for next year.

"I think I would like it. I’ve been approached several times to go up into the space shuttle and do these other smaller programs (than Virgin),” a daily quoted him as saying. The ‘Face Off’ actor mentioned he would have to compromise on his earnings if had agreed to Branson’s proposal. He added: "But it takes about six months of training to actually do this kind of thing, so I told them, if they could subsidise me, I would do it."
