New Delhi: Cyrus Mistry the Chairman of Tata Sons, which is the holding company of Tata group, was making the difference differently. From the time he entered centrestage by becoming the Chairman of Tata Sons, till date, he has earned many adjectives: enigma, reticent, shy, one who shuns media etc.

The matter of fact is that as per reports, Mistry had been communicating more with people who mattered--shareholders and investors.

Mistry showed strong inclination for taking tough decisions and had spoken of 'tough love' and announced that it was time to take tough decisions like shedding the flab by pruning portfolios, stress on performance and growth, and personally assessed progress of new businesses.

As per reports Mistry asked the group leaders to become the change that they wanted to see. He had been advocating group executives to break bureaucracy—one key feature that Tata group is notorious for- and stop acting in silos.
