Lindsay Lohan returns to US after filming documentary in India

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has returned to the US after a weeklong visit to India to shoot her documentary about the trafficking of women and children.

Washington: Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has returned to the US after a weeklong visit to India to shoot her documentary about the trafficking of women and children.The Mean Girls star arrived in US on Dec 14.
"Lindsay is home from India now. I am so proud of her for going," People magazine quoted Dina Lohan as saying. The 23-year-old star insists her visit to India was "the most amazing time of my life.” While in India, Lohan visited the Sanlaap women and children shelter outside Kolkata, which houses young women and girls who were victims of trafficking and other forms of exploitation. She spent about three hours with residents and watched dance performances by the children. She also donned a bindi after bonding with some of the girls, who wore bindis themselves. Lohan took to Twitter to espouse the virtues of helping those less fortunate. Visiting India was "the most amazing time of my life," she wrote. "Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time.... hope everyone can see that." ANI
