I see no need to apologise to Shah Rukh, says Aamir Khan

Aamir and Shah Rukh can often be seen attending events together these days. Although Shah Rukh seems to be quite keen on burying the hatchet with Aamir, the latter doesn’t appear to be equally interested. "I haven`t apologised to Shah Rukh and I see no need to do so. But I have said sorry to his children as they were hurt that I had written Shah Rukh`s name that was given to a dog," said Aamir.

Mumbai: Aamir and Shah Rukh can often be seen attending events together these days. Although Shah Rukh seems to be quite keen on burying the hatchet with Aamir, the latter doesn’t appear to be equally interested. Sometime back, Aamir had come out apologising to SRK’s children for making fun of the actor, and now a humble Shah Rukh has commented that there was no need for Aamir to apologise. But Aamir has now cleared his stand on this by saying that he had not apologised to Shah Rukh but to his kids for hurting their sentiments. "I haven`t apologised to Shah Rukh and I see no need to do so. But I have said sorry to his children as they were hurt that I had written Shah Rukh`s name that was given to a dog," said Aamir. On the other hand, Shah Rukh said that he has no hard feelings for his colleague (Aamir). "We often visit each other`s home and we have love and respect for each other. I don`t think there was any need for him to apologise because it is not really a big thing for me. Both of us don`t take these things seriously but it is the media that exaggerates the whole situation," said SRK. Aamir had created quite a stir when he wrote on his blog that he had a dog called Shah Rukh and that it was licking his feet. The comment was obviously didn’t go down well with SRK, who reacted by stating that his children were big fans of Aamir, but not any longer. It was then that Aamir was reported to have apologised to Shah Rukh as well as his children. He then stopped referring to the dog as Shah Rukh and started calling him Shaaki instead. "I was upset to hear that Shah Rukh`s children were unhappy with me. I had no intention of hurting them. I have stopped calling the dog by its earlier name," Aamir said during an event. Anyhow, most recently, the two made an appearance together at the star-studded premiere of ‘Paa’, as they were specially invited by none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan for attending the event.
