Brits obviously like spanking, says Keira Knightley

London: British actress Keira Knightley has said that only British people have taken a keen interest in the sadomasochistic scenes in her new film ‘A Dangerous Method’.
The film has her playing psycho-analyst Carl Jung’s patient and lover, Sabina Spielrein and appears topless, tied to a bed while Michael Fassbender, who plays Jung, spanks her behind. Speaking at the London premiere of the film at The Mayfair Hotel in London, on Tuesday night, Knightley revealed that the spanking element of the film tseemed of peculiar interest to British audiences, compared to their Italian and Canadian counterparts at least. “I thought, it’s going to come out and all of a sudden it’s going to all be about that and weirdly, apart from in this country, it hasn’t been,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying. “We went to the Venice film festival and they didn’t mention it at all for the whole three days we were there, it was really weird. “And then Toronto it got mentioned slightly more, then England it’s being mentioned all the time.” “I don’t know what that says about us? We obviously like spanking,” she added. ANI
