Mumbai: Indian cinema is all set to celebrate 100 years of its existence. And people from the fraternity are gearing up to contribute their bit to the world of Indian celluloid. Among the filmmakers who are producing short films to commemorate the glorious 100 years of Indian films are Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Bannerjee and Karan Johar. While other directors have cast actors for their respective films, film maker Karan Johar is yet to confirm the actors on board. Viacom 18, which is producing the series, speaks about Shah Rukh Khan’s presence in KJo’s film. But surprisingly, the filmmaker denies the news. Talking to HT city, the director said, “I am currently in the pre-production stage and haven’t cast anyone. I just locked the screenplay a few days ago, and plan to start the shoot by the end of January. For me, it’s a challenging format. We have 20 minutes to tell a story, which is coherent and connected to the other plots. This can be a challenge for any filmmaker.” So why is Karan in a state of denial despite the producers claiming that SRK is in the film in question? Hope all is well between the thick friends!
