Male model Andrej Pejic voted 98th sexiest ``woman`` in the world by FHM

Melbourne: It has emerged that androgynous male model Andrej Pejic has been voted as the 98th sexiest ``woman`` in the world by ‘For Him’ magazine.

Fashion bloggers have pointed out that it was a pleasant surprise to include Pejic, as the lad’s mag ‘FHM’ is not exactly an upholder of gender equality. However, the entry was quickly taken down from the online version of the story although Pejic remains in the print story that came as a free supplement with this month``s magazine. “Andrej Pejic appears at number 98 in FHM Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011,” the Daily Telegraph quoted a spokesperson for FHM as saying. “Regrettably the copy accompanying André’s online entry wasn’t subbed prior to going live. Once we realised, we removed it immediately and apologised for any offence caused. “FHM has spoken to the individual concerned and taken steps to ensure this can never happen again,” the spokesperson added.
