Chennai: Aiming to streamline its operations, Indian Oil Corporation is undertaking 'Know Your Customer' exercise and has requested customers to cooperate with them.
"Indian Oil is currently undertaking an ambitious Know Your Customer exercise and Indane customers are requested to cooperate in completing this exercise early, which will ensure further streamlining of LPG distribution", a company statement said.
The company also advised LPG customers to continue with the practice of booking LPG cylinders in the existing system through IVRS or SMS.
"Indane customers are requested to stick to the existing system of LPG refill bookings through IVRS/SMS over mobile number 8124024365,so that refills are reached only to genuine Indane LPG users", it said.
IOC also advised customers to see that entries of refill supplies are properly made by delivery boys in gas consumer cards, ensuring refill supplies are properly recorded.
Those customers who do not have the consumer card are also requested to avail one from their distributor,it said.
IOC also asked its distributors to accept booking requests from prospective customers for new LPG connections.
It said all efforts are being taken to ensure availibility of cylinders for domestic and commercial customers to meet the requirements during the coming festive season.
