Jammu: Launching its mobile handset under brand 'Chaze' in Jammu and Kashmir, the K R Mangalam Group on Saturday announced an investment of Rs 200 crore for setting up two assembly units in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.
"We are setting up two units in Uttranchal and Himachal Pradesh at a cost of Rs 200 crore for assembling mobile handsets," the company's CEO Keshav Arora told reporters here.
The first unit would be coming up in six months at Roorkee in Uttranchal, as the land for it has been taken up and construction process has commenced.
The Group today launched its mobile handset under brand 'Chaze' here.
"We have launched our mobile handset division with multiple range of mobile phones in Jammu and Kashmir under the brand name of Chaze," Arora said.
He claimed that the phones have superior features and are competitively priced with unique features.
"Initially, the company has introduced multiple range of mobile phones in India and then we will expand its horizon to countries like Russia, UAE, Africa, Srilanka and Nepal," he said.
He added that the company would also bring other products such as memory cards, tablets, laptops, LCDs and LEDs soon.
"The company will also provide a strong support of big distribution network and after-sales services," Arora said.
