Vipul Shah in another plagiarism row - now as a victim!

Mumbai: There was much uproar over Akshay Kumar starrer Singh is Kinng’s script when writer Amit Khan sued Vipul Shah 5 crore for plagiarism. Now the table seems to have turned and Vipul is in a similar plight as the hapless writer. He recently discovered that a Bengali blockbuster ‘Poran Jay Joliya Re’ has blatantly ‘copy-pasted’ the script of ‘Namastey London’, and is making big profits!Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah are seeing red and the producer has vowed to sue the filmmakers. What has angered Vipul even more is that besides lifting the whole plot from ‘Namastey London’, the Bengali film has also copied the scenes, even frames and costumes! Vipul, who is flying to Kolkata this Sunday to initiate legal action, said, “Our legal advisers in Kolkata are confident that we’ve ample evidence of the Bengali film being copied from ‘Namastey London’.” The film is strewn with what Vipul sees as blatant examples of plagiarism, enough to initiate legal action against the Bengali producer Sri Venkatesh. Someone named Amit Khan must be murmuring with a snicker - “Tit for tat!”
