
New Delhi: Online travel firm MakeMyTrip Ltd Thursday posted a near three-fold increase in its net income for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 at USD 2.95 million, compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
In the quarter ended March 31, 2011, the company had net income of USD 1.07 million, it said in a statement.
The Nasdaq-listed firm's total income also rose 49.6 percent during the quarter to USD 46.95 million, as against USD 31.37 million.
"MakeMyTrip delivered strong financial results in the fourth fiscal quarter and full year despite a challenging operating environment," MakeMyTrip Chairman and CEO Deep Kalra said.
In the year ended March 31, 2012, the firm's net income rose 76.4 percent to USD 9 million compared to 5.1 million in the previous year.
It's sales increased 57.5 percent to USD 196.6 million in FY12, against USD 124.8 million in FY 11.
