Diehard Indian lodges complaint against Anti-India page on Facebook

Mumbai: Modern day Gandhi, Anna Hazare has stirred a new wave of patriotism that has awakened people from even the nook and corner of the nation. Drenched in the true spirits of nationalist fervour, Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Bhandup, Mumbai filed a police complaint against an anti-India page on Facebook. Ranjeet accidentally happened to view a page that ran anti-India comments on the social networking site. He claimed to have read, `Two words are enough; F*** India` on the community’s wall. Talking to a tabloid, Singh said, "I was searching for opinions on Anna Hazare and his fast when I stumbled upon this community on Facebook. It was really derogatory to see the page hurled with abuses. It had a picture of a dog crapping on the flag and other such desecrations to the Tricolour," Singh said. The 36 year old patriot wanted to lodge an FIR but the police advised him to approach the cyber crime division. "Today, social networking websites boast of great powers but a community like this has hurt my sentiments as a citizen of India. I hope that the community is deleted or at least banned in the country." Ranjeet is hell bent on taking action against the community page. He said, "If, by Monday, no action is taken against the community, I will go to the police commissioner. No one can get away with insulting the country. As a citizen, I am doing my duty and hope to get support from the law and other bodies in the country."
