New Delhi: Aditya Roy Kapur, who proved his acting capabilities in films such as ‘Action Replay’ and ‘Guzaarish’, is now coming as a solo-lead in Mahesh Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Aashiqui 2’.
The actor, along with his co-star Shraddha Kapoor, was spotted interacting with media in Mumbai and they both looked quite confident about the film.
“My name is Rahul Jaykar in the film, he is a successful and famous magician but he is not happy in life. He has everything, he has money, he has fame but still he feels something is missing and that is her,” Aditya said.
Shraddha, who is the daughter of Bollywood’s most popular villain Shakti Kapoor, said that her father is really happy for her debut.
“My dad is really happy that I am doing ‘Aashiqui 2’. Even though he appreciated me the last after watching the promos, firstly he said the film looks quiet promising and good, and then he appreciated Aditya,” she said,
“I was waiting that he will say something about me also and then he said even you are looking good, so I was like oh Thanks a lot finally,” Shraddha added.
On the occasion, the duo even sang the song ‘Tum hi ho’ from the film.
The film, which is not a sequel of 90’s musical blockbuster Aashiqui and is just a name franchise that has been carried forward by Bhushan Kumar, will hit the theatres on 26th April.
