Emma forced to delete Twitter account

New York: Emma Roberts has deleted her Twitter account after she was bombarded with nasty tweets from ‘Twilight’ fans, who support character Edward Cullen, for saying she preferred Jacob Black.
Roberts, 19, had revealed on The Tonight Show that she is rooting for Team Jacob, and even though actor Robert Pattinson, who plays the part of Edward, did not mind, his fans most definitely did. “Well, you just revealed yourself to have no taste,” the New York Daily News quoted Pattinson as replying to her choice. According to E! Online, as soon as the actress mentioned her preference, she started receiving vicious tweets from Edward’s fans, leading to the deletion of her Twitter account. “Team Jacob? Ewwwwwwwww!!!!! >.<,” one user, whose comment was mild compared to several others, wrote. Roberts closed her Twitter account on June 16, but before doing so, she wrote a last parting thought about 24-year-old Pattinson. “Rob Pattinson is so nice! I was slightly disappointed his skin wasn’t glittering & the song ‘Wild Thing’ didn’t start when he shook my hand,” she wrote. But not all Edward fans were against her choice, and some slammed the nasty comments she received while others were embarrassed. “Emma Roberts deleted her twitter? I can safely say I’m very embarrassed to even be part of Twilight at this point. Rob made a joke about it!” the fan tweeted. ANI
