Lachey wishes Simpson the very best after engagement

Los Angeles: Singer Nick Lachey is happy to learn about his ex-wife Jessica Simpson`s engagement and wishes her all the best.

"I will say the same thing I always say: I wish her the very best," usmagazine.com quoted him as saying. A representative for Simpson confirmed that she is engaged to her boyfriend Eric Johnson. The "Come On Over" hitmaker began dating Johnson in May, three months after the American football player filed for divorce from stylist Keri Johnson. Simpson and Lachey famously wed in 2002 but announced their split in 2005. Lachey got engaged to actress Vanessa Minnillo recently. He revealed that he and Minnillo, 30, are "still basking in the glow". "I`m sure we`ll get on the other planning shortly. We are now just enjoying this experience." IANS
