Mumbai: After having failed in his desperate attempts to recreate the ‘Border’ magic in films like ‘Refugee’ and ‘LOC Kargil’, JP Dutta is all set to make yet another film on India and Pakistan’s estranged political relationship. Dutta has sought permission from the Defence Ministry to re-erect the Indo-Pak war of 1971, which will apparently be a sequel to ‘Border’. While Major Kuldeep Singh (played by Sunny Deol) was the protagonist of ‘Border’, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal is believed to be playing the central character in the sequel of ‘Border’. "His (Dutta`s) proposal is being studied. He has sought permission to use old tanks and aircraft to shoot the movie," a tabloid quoted Defence Ministry officials as saying. If all goes well, it will be interesting to see if Dutta finally manages to enthrall audiences with his latest on Indo-Pak war the way ‘Border’ did.
