New Delhi: Panasonic India on Tuesday said it is aiming to capture 30 percent of share in the Indian beauty care and grooming segment with the launch of new range of beauty products for women.
The company, which covers 25 percent of the segment at present, has launched new products including, hair dryer, frizz remedy straightener, face-hair ionizer and a compact face ionic steamer.
"In addition to its existing line up in the beauty range and growth achieved till now, Panasonic further aims to capture 30 percent of the beauty care and grooming market in India," Panasonic India said in a statement.
The beauty, cosmetic and grooming market in India is estimated to be around Rs 5,500 crore but Panasonic is not present in cosmetics segment.
Commenting on the introduction of new products today, Panasonic India Home Appliances Business Divisional Deputy Managing Director Suresh Kumar Bandi said: "The new range of products is a reflection of our commitment to addressing the ever- evolving needs of the fast moving consumers."
The company said it would continue to offer affordable products at attractive price points in order to boost sales.
