Mumbai: Friendship of Saurav Ganguly and Aamir Khan goes a long way. The two super talented individuals are all set for a rendezvous on ‘Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipati’.
Yes, Aamir Khan, sources confirm, will be coming down on June 25 to shoot a celebrity special episode of the Bengali version of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, the show hosted by former Indian cricket team captain Saurav Ganguly.
Confirming the news, said Anilava Chatterjee from the unit, “Yes, Aamir is all set to be part of the show. Sourav had met the actor during his recent visit. They have known each other since Sourav`s Team India days.”
Chatterjee further added, “Aamir is a cricket-buff. They`ve always kept in touch. So, when Sourav invited Aamir to appear on the show, he happily obliged. Even though his dates were a problem, as the actor is busy promoting his forthcoming production, ‘Delhi Belly’, things have fallen into place. On Sunday night, Aamir`s secretary confirmed that June 25 should be fine with him.”
Epitome of modesty, Aamir had, in fact, messaged Sourav that to make his show a hit, the cricketer himself is good enough. But even though he is not needed, he will come down.
Sourav too has always been all praise for the star, say sources close to him.
Earlier, on being asked whether Salman Khan was expected on the show, Sourav said, "Inviting guests is the channel`s prerogative, but I think why just Salman, it would also be great having Aamir and Shah Rukh in the hot seat."
Well, be it Salman, SRK or Aamir… it’s a definite joy time for all Bengali viewers!
