New Delhi: In what could bring relief to millions of flyers soon, they won't be required to take out their iPads and tablets for separate scrutiny at airport security check, as per a newspaper report.
The Times of India said the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security will stop 'standalone' X-ray of the above mentioned electronic devices.
However, laptops will have to undergo security check separately because it has detachable batteries.
The regulator has apprised the CISF of its decision. The CISF will call on this issue shortly, TOI said.
