New Delhi: Known for their contemporary fashion, designers Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra are all set to present a collection personifying vintage royalty inspired by the `Elizabethan Era` at the Delhi Couture Week July 22-25.
"It`s every woman`s living dream to add a touch of vintage royalty and a hint of exuberance to her contemporary surroundings as she gets ready to embrace the long-lasting dream of supreme happiness and this thought inspired us to make the collection," said Nikhil Mehra.
With their unique subtext of delicate details, simple harmonies and rich textural formats, the collection will see elegant and sophisticated gowns and dresses in delicate textures and fluid fabrics with hues of baby pink, aqua blue and dusty orange.
"The designs will take the viewer into a land of paradise where fantasy meets reality. The set will exuberate luxury, which is set in the Elizabethan Era with exotic birds and stuffed rabbits scattered across the ramp," says Nikhil, revealing the look of the ramp.
The designer duo, who have dressed up Bollywood personalities like Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in the past, is also known for bringing these stars to walk for them on the ramp.
