Taylor Momsen takes on Miley Cyrus

Los angeles: `Gossip Girl` star Taylor Momsen let out a barrage of insults against popstar Miley Cyrus during a recent interview.

The 16-year-old aspiring rocker said that she hates the kind of music that the Disney star makes, reported Us magazine. "I`m not looking to be Miley Cyrus...I do think the Disney bubblegum that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression," Momsen told FHM magazine. " I don`t care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we`ll go along for the ride," she said. Both Cyrus, 17, and Momsen, 16, are former child stars who sing as well as act, but Momsen fronts the rock band The `Pretty Reckless` and Cyrus sings lighter country-pop fare. But Cyrus too has been shedding her perky tween image with provocative outfits and sound bytes. She rose to fame as the squeaky-clean star of the Disney Channel`s `The Hannah Montana Show`. Interestingly enough, Momsen is said to have auditioned for the Hannah role. She was seven years old when she starred as Cindy Lou Who in 2000`s `How the Grince Stole Christmas`. PTI
