New Delhi: Beleaguered Sahara group on Friday offered to pay Rs 10,000 crore as bail amount set by the Supreme court.

Income Tax Dep recovered this money in its raid conducted this week. The I-T department has claimed to have seized cash of over Rs 135 crore from the premises of Sahara group during its raids on its two premises in Delhi and Noida in connection with alleged tax evasion charges.

Sources said the department made one of its highest seizures which also includes jewellery worth Rs 1 crore.

Sahara has also said that it will get a loan of Rs 3,070 crores on 3 international properties once the apex court approves the deal. The group further said that it will get a bank guarantee of Rs 2,400 crore from the same lender. Sahara has sold property in Ahmedabad , Jodhpur , Vasai and Chormu for Rs 3,500 crore.
