Mesmerised by antiques, the macho actor has become an ardent collector of some of the most priceless pieces of art. For an actor whose good side is often overlooked, courtesy his numerous shortcomings ranging from wild antics, raw rage and umpteen wrongdoings, Salman Khan can be rightly dubbed as an actor ‘misunderstood’. Though he is famously infamous for throwing childlike fits, the actor’s love for painting and numerous heart driven gestures have often made many wonder about this industry bad boy’s true temperament. Giving yet another clue of his romantic side, the actor has started purchasing some of the most cherished murals and art works on glass and large picture frames. Buzz has it that it was his foremost love for painting that got him interested in antiques. The actor was reportedly reading a book on painting when he read about the art of choosing the right frame for a painting. The book also talked about the power of antique frames. What came next is any body’s guess. The actor splurged huge bucks to get antique frames. Confirming the news, a source told a daily, "The first antique he purchased was an old classic portrait frame. As he started looking for interesting frames, he developed an interest in other pieces as well. He keeps most of the stuff he collects at his Panvel farm house. There have been occasions when Salman has called up a friend and told him to get the artifact that he wants." Known for falling in and out of hobbies one wonders, how long will this addiction last?
