Meryl Streep to do the polka in Margaret Thatcher bio-pic

London: She danced her way to a hit with `Mamma Mia` and Meryl Streep will be putting on her dancing shoes again, this time for the bio-pic of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
In the `Iron lady`, the Oscar-winning American actress will dance the polka in a scene when the former British Prime Minister is reminiscing about her youth. In the dream-like sequence, Thatcher remembers dancing with the older Denis Thatcher, portrayed by Jim Broadbent, but then finds herself dancing with Denis`s young self, played by Harry Lloyd, as other figures in her life come into the scene, reported Daily Mail online. The first image of the Hollywood star as Thatcher was recently released as filming gets underway. Wearing a red and black jacket with a simple brooch, button earrings and pearl necklace the 61-year-old looks every bit a young Thatcher. "I am trying to approach the role with as much zeal, fervour and attention to detail as the real Lady Thatcher possesses, I can only hope my stamina will begin to approach her own," said Streep about the role.
